Dear Friends,
Today I’m sharing something very close to my heart with you.
For many years, I have walked a path shaped by many roles: Martial Artist, Teacher, Mother, Grandmother, Data Architect, Business Owner, and Child of God.
Along the way, I’ve learned that strength isn’t just about what we can do physically, it’s about how we live, how we think, and who we are becoming each day.
Martial arts helped me build discipline.
But it wasn’t until I truly invited God into my daily life, until I let Him guide me, teach me, and carry what I could not, that I began to feel whole.
That journey is what led me to write The Warrior 40.
It’s a 40-day journey designed to help you strengthen your mind, body, and spirit through daily habits rooted in faith, discipline, and purpose.
Inside, I walk alongside you as your Sensei, encouraging you, guiding you, and reminding you to trust the process.

Book Excellence Editorial Review
The Warrior 40 by Amy Seeling is a faith-centered guide to personal transformation that
blends martial arts philosophy, Christian faith, and practical daily habits into a structured
40-day journey.
At its core, the book redefines what it means to be a warrior, not as someone who seeks
conflict, but as someone who lives with intention, self-control, integrity, and spiritual
awareness. Seeling, a lifelong martial artist and mentor, shares how her understanding of
discipline evolved beyond physical training into a complete way of life. While martial arts
gave her structure and resilience, she found deeper purpose through her relationship with
God. From this foundation, she presents The Warrior 40 as a roadmap for developing the
inner Warrior, someone who can guard their values, make wise decisions, and live with
purpose in a complex and distracting world.
The book focuses on five key disciplines: nutrition, exercise, ethics, discipline, and spirit,
collectively referred to as the Warrior’s Daily NEEDS. Each chapter includes practical steps
that help readers apply these principles, reinforcing the idea that lasting change comes
from consistent daily action, not just good intentions. Inspired by the biblical meaning of
forty as a time of growth and testing, the book encourages full commitment to building
sustainable habits.
A central theme is the importance of a strong foundation. Just as a martial artist relies on a
solid stance, Seeling explains that a meaningful life depends on core values like faith,
honesty, self-restraint, and purposeful work. In this way, faith becomes something lived out
daily through reflection, scripture, and intentional choices rather than just being an
abstract idea. The book also highlights purpose and discipline as keys to fulfillment. Seeling
introduces the discipline cycle, showing how purpose leads to effort, effort to
accomplishment, and accomplishment to lasting satisfaction. She reframes discipline as
something that actually creates freedom, helping people stay focused, build resilience,
and live with clarity. Seeling also explores emotional mastery, self-control, and the value of
learning from mistakes. She encourages readers to use their gifts in service to others,
reinforcing that true strength is expressed through generosity, mentorship, and connection.
Seeling’s writing is warm, thoughtful, and relatable. She comes across as both a trusted
friend and a wise guide, making the book’s ideas easy to understand and apply. The
structure is also engaging, with personal stories, scripture, visuals, and highlighted insights
that make the content accessible to a wide range of readers of all ages and backgrounds.
Overall, The Warrior 40 is an encouraging and practical guide for anyone who wants to
bring more discipline, faith, and purpose into their life. It offers clear, actionable steps for
those ready to grow stronger: physically, mentally, and spiritually. – Review by Book
